Care Instructions

First time usage

Be sure to rinse your copper bottle with warm water, fill your bottle with water and then leave for six to eight hours. Do not consume this water. This is an important step to clean your water bottle of any dirt or production residue. This step is also important to activate the copper ions within your bottle.

Your new friend in hydration can last you a lifetime with a little TLC. Here are some useful tips:

· To ensure the longevity of your bottle remember to wash it frequently with room temperature to warm water. Remember that copper is naturally antibacterial, our bottles therefore contain natural self-sterilising properties and do not require any chemical assistance to be cleaned.
· A drop or two of vinegar along with room temperature to warm water can be used to rinse the bottle.
· If you really need to scrub, lemon and salt make a formidable combination to restore it's shine. Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle salt on the fruit's cut side, rub the cut side with the salt gently over copper, rinse and dry.
Precautions
· Your bottle is all about the simple things in life, it is not refrigerator, microwave or dishwasher safe.
· Do not use boiling water to wash or fill your bottle.
· Room temperature to cold water is the best water for your bottle.
· Copper has a lot of character, it is natural for it to grow in character with use, you can expect to see some tarnishes over time. Caring for your bottle properly and frequently can mitigate it's ageing process.
· The water stored in your copper bottle is already infused with the best health benefits, do not add any other liquid solutions such as carbonated drinks, fruit drinks or fruit peels to the water in your bottle.

34oz copper water bottle - beautiful look

I had never heard of "copper water" before but it really intrigued me and this bottle is absolutely beautiful so I was so excited to get it. I am always on a quest for better tasting water and stopped using plastic water bottles long, long ago. I only use reusable water bottles, too. I have a couple stainless steel ones but don't like the slight taste of those. My go to is my glass bottles, but they are so heavy and of course there's a risk of breakage. I was really surprised at how LIGHTWEIGHT the copper bottle is. Really, it is so light! I followed the included directions to wash the bottle out with warm water, and then I filled it with water and let it sit longer than it said to. I went back to it the next day, washed it out again, and then filled it with water to drink. I then left it for 24 hours (it said leave for 8 hours but I waited a full day). I did not really notice a difference in taste, it just tasted like pure, clean water. I should note that I have well water, so it is just straight water, no municipal additives. I decided to leave it another day (so about 48 hours in the bottle) and I would say maybe there is a slight metallic taste? But I think it's actually just the smell of the bottle. Very subtle, not a problem or anything. The water still tasted good. So I have no idea on the "copper water" concept but this bottle looks SOOOOO GOOD on my counter. It also fits in the outdoor pocket of the bag I use as a purse. My glass bottles have to go inside the bag due to the narrow pocket. It holds a liter of water so that's pretty good!

Great water bottle

I love this water bottle and it was a great addition to my water bottle collection. It is beautiful and very functional. It is easy to clean (just read the instructions on care). I love that I am getting some "copper" water in my system also. It is a nice size and leak proof. Keeps my water cool for a long time.

Great Quality

I got this because it's supposed to be really good for you to drink out of a copper water bottle. I followed the directions, filling it with water for the first day to "clean" it, and then overnight to drink the next morning. It definitely tastes like copper, I'm going to have to easy into it, because the flavor is strong and makes my stomach ache drinking half the bottle. But it works.

I appreciate that copper has inherent anti-microbial properties, I am a contractor and have had MANY discussions with clients regarding plastic pipe vs copper pipe for home water systems.I always use copper as it is an antimicrobial material and finding this bottle was to ma a blessing!I love the design, size and that this is true copper.Great bottle, seals well, fits my cup holders.... just nothing bad here... its GREAT!
